| Lille - Viking Graden Party n°1 |
|
The Viking Garden Party was a special idea to recreate a Viking celebration of victory. As I read it somewhere, the Vikings used to eat a lot of meat and they alwas used to throw rests just on the floor where dogs used to wait on their part. It was the starting point of our simulation. We choosed the yard because we hadn't enough dogs to be sure the floor would be clean after the action. I negociated 18 entire chicken à 30 francs and that was all. The fact that chicken were excellent was a good begining of the concept. We ate them just with fresh bread using of our fingers only. The square configuration allowed us to throw bones and other rests in the middle. As it could had been expected, soon bones began to fly too far and a first fight began. As there were some people still eating the first fight was not very long, but just at the moment when everybody returned to the table another fight came up. Everything was good to throw on the others. Chicken had been almost all eaten and so we had to use beers, mustard and even the rest of sauce that Faride tryed to throw on Eggman. As you can see Eggman was faster and Faride failed. But there was yet Socratis who had collected several disgusting rests of chickens and was searching for a victim. The best gun was the Molotov power. Of course it was Filippos who invented it. You must take a rest of mustard or mayonnaise and add some beer. Than you must shake it closed to make it pressurized. Than choose a victim and open the mustard. It seems like mustard explosion and you cannot miss the target. After two hours of fighting we had to stop because there was no material remaining, in spite of the special Socratis' and Didem's pastry made of flour and water. Everybody was ready to take a shower. I decided to wash dirty dresses alltogather, but it was not a good idea as the half of them came back with twice more colors. Unfortunetely, we tested just a small part of Viking concepts because of that events. But we approved them as good to the 21st century. The Viking Garden Party could finish like that but my invitation suggested everyone should tell a "Viking story". And yes indeed, Edouard, although he was along, prepared a "Viking story". While he was telling it, we were able to see one by one the characters going out of a small box. In fact the characters were ourselves made with Lego figurines. If I have the time one day I will put here the story as it was told by Edouard. |
